The Candlelight Tour takes place in the South Main Street Historic District in Middletown, Ohio, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour includes fourteen historic buildings, dating from 1836 to 1927, decorated for the holidays, including seven residences, three churches, the Middletown Historical Society Museum, and the historic Sorg Opera House from 1891. During the tour, visitors can enjoy a carriage ride, live music from members of the Middletown High School Chamber Orchestra,… Show more hot wassail, and a live watercolor demonstration by an artist from the Middletown Arts Center.
Limited to 1000 tickets. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the tour. Advance tickets are available at the Whistle Stop gift shop (513) 424-1909 or Beauverre-Riordan Studio (513) 425-7312, both in downtown Middletown, or online at www.HistoricSouthMain.org. On the day of the tour, tickets will be available at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 114 S. Broad Street, Middletown. Proceeds of the tour are used to maintain the Robbins Fountain in Middletown’s Old South Park and for other educational projects promoting the preservation of the historic district.
