Joshua Bell, who at age 14 had already earned the title “classical music superstar,” returns to the CSO for the season’s first Ascent Series performances, featuring two works (the Bruch concerto and Ravel’s Tzigane) that are dramatic, impassioned and entirely captivating—perfect showpieces for his extraordinary talents. You’ll also hear the sounds of Spain as seen through the eyes of Ravel in his Rapsodie espagnole.
